Munich, 10 August 2020 – KINGSTONE Investment Management (KINGSTONE IM) has hired Markus Mayer as Head of Client Capital Germany. The 38-year-old investment expert is now responsible for further expanding relationships with institutional investors, particularly banks. He reports directly to Dr. Tim Schomberg, Managing Partner of the owner-managed investment boutique.

Markus Mayer is working for Pegasus Capital Partners since April 2018. The Erlangen-based mezzanine specialist is one of KINGSTONE IMs’ shareholders. At Pegasus Capital Partners, Markus Mayer is responsible for client relationships with family offices and institutional investors. Markus Mayer will retain some of his responsibilities at Pegasus Capital Partners in addition to his new key role at KINGSTONE IM.

“Institutional investors require market contacts with extensive real estate expertise,” explains Dr. Schomberg. “Markus Mayer’s experience as a fund manager makes him the ideal addition to our team. He will also act as an operational bridge to Pegasus Capital Partners. Through the close interlinkages between our companies, we will gain more agility. And we are going to use this advantage for even more effective access to investment assets.”

Before joining Pegasus Capital Partners, Markus Mayer spent four years as a portfolio manager at Catella Real Estate AG and three and a half years as a fund manager at Real I.S. AG. He holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Investment and Finance from the University of Hong Kong along with a degree from the International Real Estate Business School (IREBS) at the University of Regensburg.
